My name is Jorge Brana and my deep love of nature inspired me to teach the skills I have learned throughout my life with fire, water, and primitive cooking.

I started life off in Argentina and as a teenager was drafted to the mandatory service which landed me in the middle of the Dirty War, a civil war in Argentina that lasted 7 years. I was forever changed by my expereinces during this time, and would spend many years after in search of something I could not express with words.

Hello and welcome to Seeds of Pewen.

I arrived in the United States not long after I was discharged from the military and worked a myriad of jobs before a near death experience with cancer led me back to nature.

I wanted to build on the knowledge I already had, so I enrolled in Tom Brown Jr’s Tracker School in 1994. Many years of learning later, I began working for the Tracker School as an instructor. I spent 11 years with Tom, my fellow instructors and thousands of students that went through the Tracker school.

I’ve been deeply impacted by all of my life experiences, good and bad. I continue to be fascinated with the natural world around me and the more that I have experienced and learned, the more I am fueled to teach all I have been given.
